Hampton Inn & Suites Portland/Hillsboro-Evergreen Park

The only dispute is the people upstairs as they have children that love jump off the beds onto the floor, constant running too like there are playing tag or something. We called in twice about the people upstairs, and we weren't the only ones. Their neighbors called in and complained. It went on for hours. Kids will be kids. But until 11pm and then 12 midnight....that was too much. I barely slept. My daughter slept thru it all... lol. But we didn't. Richard called in the first at 11pm and myself at 12midnight. I feel bad for the lady at night time had to go up and talk to them. She did this more than once. But the lady at the front desk at 6am this morning seemed uninterested. I was polite, kind and didn't raise my voice as I was so tired. I am very grateful for the night staff lady as the kids were very quiet past 12:15am. We have a long drive ahead of us. We saw the traffic heading north. Top it off this was my birthday weekend to boot. The man at the check in was quite nice, the rooms are clean. The breakfast was delicious. Everything in this hotel is super nice.The parking here isn't too bad. Costco is about 13 minutes away. The Old Spaghetti Factory is close by and Regal theater is close too. This area is quiet, It is beautiful area. It was just the people upstairs with their kids that kept us awake when we trying to sleep. That is my only complaint. Thank you Hampton for the beautiful place we stayed in.

This location was spot on for why we came to Portland (visiting family). The hotel was clean, comfortable and affordable. The staff was superb and even came through in a crisis in the middle of the night. Due to one of my kids throwing up and beyond cleaning and just replacing sheets, the hotel switched rooms for us and we were able to get everyone back to sleep within the hour. Well done Hampton Inn. No one can predict when the vomit gates will open and no one likes sick kids. I'm just happy we were able to get another room quickly in the middle of the night. Aside from that, breakfast was very good. Standard continental, waffle maker and hot entrees like scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage and seasoned potatoes. I loved that they had fresh oatmeal made rather than those instant packets. They had a toppings bar for the oatmeal and for the waffles. We used the indoor pool twice and my kids had a blast. The various front desk attendants we interacted with were all very friendly, talkative and helpful. The breakfast attendant was patient and kind during the hustle of breakfast. Love that their breakfast hours are from 6am-10am so that you can have a relaxing morning. Excellent stay and definitely recommend!

We stay anywhere from 90-120 days a year in hotels and will probably never stay at a Hilton Brand Hotel again. We arrived at 1130 am to see if we could check in early. They couldn't accommodate (understandable). The front desk stated we have a 3pm guaranteed check-in. We arrived back a little after 2pm to see if a room was open. There wasn't for us. We noticed several people checking in, and in my discussion with the front desk they admitted they 'overbook' on the weekends without any explanation as to why others were being checked in and not us. At 3:01 pm the front desk did not have a room available and couldn't tell us when one was going to be available. We had to get to an event at 4pm so we left and attempted cancel with the hotel...they refused...so we disputed it to our CC...the hotel's response to our CC is that we received the service - which is a lie, period. A complete double standard in the hotel industry. We mostly leave our hotels early in the morning...this allows for them to charge incoming customers who want to check in early a fee. Do the customers who leave early get reimbursed? No. If a hotel cannot check you in at the guaranteed time, then you should be able to cancel or the hotel needs to provide you with compensation for your lost use of the facility. There's plenty of other hotels and we'll happily take all of our business there.

Last minute trip to visit my best friend and was able to get a room despite how busy most of the hotels were this past weekend. Property was clean, staff were super friendly and welcoming, and my room was very clean and comfortable. I stayed on the first floor and I liked the high ceilings. If you are super sensitive to bright lights, please be cautious of car lights.
